Important Update:

Vehicle Registration ID Requirements:

Jasper County was notified today that the SCDMV will no longer accept a Passport as a valid ID when registering a vehicle effective August 26th 2026.

When registering a vehicle, a valid driver license is now required.

Because of the SCDMV changes, Jasper County will no longer accept a Passport as a valid ID and will be requiring a valid driver license to register a vehicle.

El condado de Jasper fue notificado hoy de que el SCDMV ya no aceptará un pasaporte como identificación válida al registrar un vehículo efectivo de Agosto 26, 2026.

Al registrar un vehículo, ahora se requiere una licencia de conducir válida.

Debido a estos cambios del SCDMV, el condado de Jasper ya no aceptará un pasaporte como identificación válida y requerirá una licencia de conducir válida para registrar un vehículo.

Citizens may sign up to speak in person at the Council Meeting before the regular meeting starts on the Public Comments Sign-in Sheet outside the Council Chambers Doors to address County Services and Operations. Presentations are limited to 3 minutes per person, and total input is limited to 30 minutes. Written comments must be submitted by 1 PM on the meeting date by emailing comments@jaspercountysc.gov
