The Jasper County Clerk of Court's Office is located at:
265 Russell St, Ridgeland South Caolina, 29936
and is open from 9 AM to 5 PM Monday to Friday
The clerk of Court's Office facilitates the operation of General Sessions (criminal court), Commons Pleas (civil court) and Family Court.
General Sessions: Duties include receiving criminal warrants, transmitting warrants to the solicitor, receiving bonds, managing prospective and active jurors.
Entering case dispositions, accepting court public defender fees, and recording expungements.
Common Pleas: Duties include filing civil disputes, scheduling motion hearings, scheduling jury and non-jury trials, managing juries and e-filing court documents.
Family Court: Duties include scheduling hearings, collecting and disbursing court ordered child support.
The issuance of rules to show cause for non-compliance of court orders, and maintaining juvenile records.
The Clerk of Court's functions do NOT include giving legal advice or referring attorneys

The Clerk of Court's mission is to ensure the accessibility of JUSTICE TO ALL We strive to ensure the effective and efficient operation of all fiscal and administrative functions of the court.
Juror Information
The state Election Commission provides Jasper County with a list of potential jurors annually. A person's name will be included on the list if they are registered to vote, or they are an owner of a South Carolina Driver's license or state ID.
Jurors are selected at random by a computer and notified via mail by the Clerk of Court Staff. Jurors must carefully read and complete the juror response form and return it using the envelope included in the summons letter.

Proper dress code is a requirement. Shorts and tank tops are considered inappropriate in a court setting
Jurors are paid $10.00 per day plus miles travelled.
